Erin Barry-Dutro is a printmaker and multimedia installation artist living in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2008 she received a Bachelors of Fine Art in Painting and Printmaking with a concentration in Lithography from Virginia Commonwealth University, and in 2020 she received a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Interactive Media and Design from Towson University. She is a founding member of the activist projection group Luminous Intervention, and is one half of the LED installation art team Radiance. She is the founder of Shinyfresh Press print studio, and of the annual Shinyfresh Winter Print Exchange.
Her art centers on addressing “hard” topics via colorful, spiritual, and “soft” experiences, including issues surrounding LGBTQIA+ or neurodivergent identity, self acceptance, wonder, play, community, safety, and change. She is strongly attracted to unnaturally bright and fluorescent colors, LED lights, and holographic materials.
Erin is an avid reader, and keeps an ongoing record of all the books she has read since 2006. To view her book log, click here.
